New Species of Dinosaur Discovered is Officially Named Zuul From GHOSTBUSTERS
I love when science and pop culture meet. You get some of the best things ever. In this case, you get a dinosaur named after a fictional dog monster from one of my favorite movies ever.... Ghostbusters.
The dinosaur was discovered in a Montana quarry where people were looking for Fossils. Victoria Arbor and David Evans are the ones who had been studying it over the past year when they came to the conclusion that it was a new species of dinosaur. As they were studying it, Victoria couldn't help but notice that the dinosaur's skull looked awfully similar to one she was very familiar with. Zuul from the film Ghostbusters. She pitched the idea to her colleague and they ran with it.
As for its species name it is called crurivastator, which means destroyer of shins. So there you go. We have the T-rex, Velociraptor and now the Zuul. I can't think of a better name for it. Now, all I can hope for is they name a dinosaur Gozer, and we'll be set.
