New Spike Lee Joint DA 5 BLOODS Slated to Hit Netflix Next Month
We’ve got news of a new Spike Lee joint headed our way next month. The director, known for his films Do the Right Thing, Malcom X, the remake of Oldboy, and the poignant BlacKkKlansman, has a new movie coming to Netflix! The film is called Da 5 Bloods and is a ward drama that stars Chadwick Boseman (42, Black Panther), Jonathan Majors (The Last Black Man in San Francisco), Paul Walter Hauser (BlacKkKlansman, Cobra Kai), Jean Reno (The Professional), and Delroy Lindo (Malcom X, Get Shorty).
Here’s the film’s synopsis:
Da 5 Bloods follows a four African-American veterans who return to Vietnam to search for the remains of their fallen squad leader (Boseman) and the promise of buried treasure. Our heroes battle forces of man and nature as they’re confronted by the lasting ravages of the immorality of the Vietnam War.
