New Spoiler Details on How Tom Holland's Spider-Man Fits Into MORBIUS and Other MCU Connections

We may have some big details regarding how Tom Holland’s version of Spider-Man fits into Morbius along with some other MCU connections. The following information popped up on Reddit from someone who attended an early test screening for the film. I know that there have been test screenings going on for this film and the leaker provided proof that he has seen the movie, so the following information is considered to be legit. But still, it’s not 100% confirmed.

First of all, in regards to the visual of Spider-Man that we saw in the trailer for Morbius and other leaked set photos featuring Tobey Maguire’s version of the character. What we are seeing are just visual placeholders. Those will be digitally replaced with Tom Holland’s MCU version of Spider-Man in the final cut of the film.

Now, I’m going to get into some more spoiler territory in regards to Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes and what he’s doing in the film.

Keaton's Adrian Toomes, a.k.a. The Vulture, will also appear alongside Michael Mando's Mac Gargan and Woody Harrelson's Cletus Kasady. They all show up when Jared Leto’s Michael Morbius is sent to prison, and from what it sounds like, The Vulture is looking to assemble a team, which will most likely lead to the Sinister Six.

J.K. Simmons's J. Jonah Jameson also appears in the film during a news report covering Morbius's actions. It’s also mentioned that Oscorp is referenced in the movie as well as "The Blip."

With “The Blip” being mentioned, this pretty much cements the fact that Morbius is, in a lot of ways, set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “The Blip” is much more than just Spider-Man, that’s a huge MCU connection!

When we learned that Spider-Man was going to be a part of the film, fans were like, “Well, Sony owns those characters so the studio can do whatever they want with them.” There was also speculation that the film could be set in an alternate universe. But, “The Blip” is 100% a MCU story element, and now that element is a part of the films that Sony is developing.

What do you think about these newly revealed details? It’s certainly going to be interesting to see how this all plays out over the course of this film and the future Marvel films that Sony is developing.
