New STAR WARS Tabletop Card Game Coming Soon STAR WARS: UNLIMITED - SPARK OF THE REBELLION
A new Star Wars tabletop card game is coming soon from Fantasy Flight Games called Star Wars: Unlimited – Spark of Rebellion.
In this fast-paced, easy-to-learn trading card game, “players face off in exciting head-to-head battles full of iconic Star Wars characters. In the Two-Player Starter for the game’s first set, Spark of Rebellion, players will find two fully built, ready-to-play decks for you and a friend to dive in and start learning the game.”
Players will shield their allies as Luke Skywalker, or go on the offensive as Darth Vader! Some of the other characters include Yoda, Boba Fett, Princess Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and others.
As for how you play, Players build a 50-card deck with one leader card, like Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader, and one base card, like Command Center or Administrator’s Tower. The object of the game is to gather resource cards, gain experience cards and draw attack cards to deplete the number value of your opponents base card. Meanwhile, tokens are used to upgrade the values of your cards.
It’s explained that Spark of the Rebellion is the first set in a new trilogy of card games. This first game features characters from the beginning of the Galactic Civil War with characters and locations from the original Star Wars trilogy, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Rebels and more. The next two parts of the game are Shadows of the Galaxy and Twilight of the Republic are set for release later in 2024.
