New Story Details for The CW's SUPERMAN & LOIS DC Series Reveals They Will Have Two Sons
Thanks a leaked pilot script, we have some new details to share with you regarding The CW’s upcoming Superman & Lois DC spinoff series.
Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will be reprising their roles from Supergirl, and the series would “follow the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures, and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.”
We’ve now learned from Primetimer that there are two characters in the show who were initially code-named "Matthew" and "Ethan," who are actually the children of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. The real names of these brothers are Jonathan and Jordan Kent, and they are said to be twins. Deadline reports that those two brothers will be played by Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin.
Jonathan is described as being “clean-cut, modest and kind-hearted, with an aw-shucks attitude that somehow doesn’t seem dated.” Garfin’s Jordan is “wildly intelligent, but his mercurial temperament and social anxiety limits his interactions with people, and consequently, Jordan prefers to spend most of his free time alone, playing video games.”
According to the script, neither of the brothers knows that their dad is Superman, and they may or may not have powers. The most likely do have powers. But, it would make things interesting if one of them did and one of them didn’t.
Lois is still working at The Daily Planet when Superman & Lois begins, but Clark has been laid off. Lana Lang will also be in the series, and she will be a banker in Smallville who has two daughters with her husband Kyle Cushing. They have a troubled relationship.
Martha Kent is still alive in the series, and Lois’s dad, General Sam Lane, will make an appearance. It’s revealed that Sam knows Clark's secret so I imagine that he’ll be an ally. The series will also reportedly introduce a villain called "The Stranger" whose true identity will be revealed by the end of the episode.
