New Supernatural Action-Adventure Series Coming to Disney+ – SECRET GUIDE TO CELESTIAL CREATURES
Disney has announced another new series coming to Disney+ titled Secret Guide To Celestial Creatures. The series is a supernatural action-adventure drama that’s being developed by Michael Golamco, Randall Park, and Hieu Ho’s Imminent Collision.
The story centers on “a Korean American family of legendary guardians who protect the supernatural community that lives among us in plain sight.” Golamco created the series and is set to write the pilot and executive produce.
This definitely sounds like a project that will fit the Disney brand and from the little that we know, it could make for a fun series. Park, Golamco and Ho said in a joint statement:
“We love genre stories that are funny, magical, and emotional — especially when they come from a very specific place that reflects a universal truth. We’re thrilled to partner with Disney+ to bring Celestial Creatures to a global audience.”
Golamco recently co-wrote the live-action film adaption of Taika Waititi’s Akira for Warner Bros. as well as a film adaptation of the Newberry Award-winning novel Hello, Universe for Netflix.
