New Teaser Trailer For SEVERANCE Season 2 Sees Adam Scott in Panic Mode
Apple TV+ has released a new teaser trailer for season two of the workplace thriller Severance, and it features Adam Scott’s Mark Scout in complete panic mode as he is running around the office.
The teaser also features shots of his original co-workers throughout the trailer including Zach Cherry’s Dylan George, Britt Lower’s Helen Riggs, and John Turturro’s Irving Bailiff.
When Mark arrives back at the Lumon office, he is met with three new people sitting at Dylan, Helen, and Irving’s cubicles. Those new mystery Lumon employees are played by Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development), Bob Balaban (Capote, Seinfeld), and newcomer Stefano Carannante.
It’s been more than two years since Season 1 left off with that cliffhanger, but it’s exciting that it’s coming back and that we’ll finally get to watch the next chapter of this story.
At the end of Season 1 employees Mark, Helly, Dylan, and Irving managed to break their consciousnesses out of the confines of their office, and were starting to piece together who they are in the real world.
Adam Scott stars in the series as Mark Scout, who works a desk job at a mysterious biotech company known as Lumon. The controversial corporation performs procedures in which employees’ psyches are bifurcated to separate work memories from personal memories, creating Innies (employees’ at-work personas) and Outties (their selves outside of the office).
Patricia Arquette stars as the manager of the severed employees, as well as Mark’s next-door neighbor. As the show progresses, Mark makes curious discoveries that call into question the intentions of the company.
The Season 2 logline reads: “Mark (Scott) and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.”
Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes and it’s set to premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, January 17.
