New Teaser Trailer for STAR TREK: PICARD Season 2 Sees the Return of Q
I’ve got a new teaser trailer to share with you for Star Trek: Picard Season 2! This gives us our best look yet at what’s in store for the next chapter of the story, and things certainly get interesting.
The new promo features our first look at the return of classic Star Trek: The Next Generation character Q. John de Lancie reprises his role as the character and stars alongside Patrick Stewart. It’s going to be a lot of fun to see these two characters reunite after all these years. The two had a great relationship in The Next Generation. At one point, Q said that Picard is “the closest thing in this universe that I have to a friend.”
There’s a lot that’s packed into this teaser as Q says, “welcome, my friend, to the very end of the road not taken.” Another voiceover says that “time has been broken” and the heroes of the story have been trust into an interesting new version of the Federation and Starfleet.
The teaser ends with Seven of Nine, who wakes up without her Borg implant. On top of that, she’s in a place she doesn’t seem to recognize with a badge she isn’t familiar with. This is a strange future that these characters have ended up in, and it’s going to be interesting to see where this next chapter of the story takes them!
The second season of Picard also stars Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Jeri Ryan, Orla Brady, Whoopi Goldberg, and Brent Spiner. I imagine that there will be some more fun surprises for Star Trek fans to enjoy.
Star Trek: Picard Season 2 will premiere at some point in 2022 on Paramount+. I’ve also included a new poster below the trailer.
