New Teaser Trailer For THE WALKING DEAD: DEAD CITY Season 2
AMC premiered a new teaser trailer for The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 at New York City: Comic-Con over the weekend. It features the return of Lauren Cohan’s Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan‘s Negan.
The Walking Dead series may have splintered off in a few spinoff shows, but it is still AMC’s most popular franchise, it’s their bread and butter, so these shows aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
The series follows Maggie and Negan as they journey into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, which was long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.
In season two, in the growing war for control of Manhattan, Maggie and Negan find themselves trapped on opposite sides. As their paths intertwine, they come to see that the way out for both is more complicated and harrowing than they ever imagined.
Walking Dead franchise chief content officer Scott M. Gimple talked about the possibility that other characters from the original series might appear in future seasons of Dead City, saying:
“I’m not telling you not to expect it. But it’s a layered universe and so much of the history is important to the present. So it’s gonna be super satisfying when I say this — you never know. It’s an option and a possibility.”
The Walking Dead: Dead City is streaming now on AMC Plus in the US, with Season 2 set to premiere sometime in 2025.
