New Teaser Trailer Released For THE TWILIGHT ZONE Reboot as it Starts Production

The upcoming reboot of The Twilight Zone has started production and we have a new teaser trailer to share with you today to get fans excited for what is to come. Jordan Peele is producing the series for CBS All Access and he will also be stepping in the shoes of creator Rod Serling as the host of the show. When previously talking about the series, Peele explained:

“Rod Serling was an uncompromising visionary who not only shed light on social issues of his time, but prophesied issues of ours. I’m honored to carry on his legacy to a new generation of audiences as the gatekeeper of ‘The Twilight Zone.'”

I have high hopes for this series. The Twilight Zone is one of the great series ever made and this teaser wonderfully trailer pays tribute to its legacy.

Ive been hoping that the new series wouldn’t rehash old episodes. I was hoping it would tackle fresh new stories. But, judging by our first look at the set shown in the cover image for the teaser below, it looks like maybe this could be a remake of the classic William Shatner episode “Nick of Time”. You can see that it’s an old 1960s diner and the Mystic Seer in the background. I’m hoping that’s just an Easter egg that was just placed in there for fun, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Watch the teaser and tell us what you think.

Production has officially begun on the first season of the new CBS All Access Original Series, THE TWILIGHT ZONE. Principal photography began Monday, Oct. 1 in Vancouver, British Columbia, 59 years after the premiere of the original series. THE TWILIGHT ZONE will premiere on CBS All Access in 2019.
