New TERMINATOR: DARK FATE Photo; Director Tim Miller Wants to Bring Nobility to the Franchise Again

Update: Poster removed at the request of studio as it wasn’t a final version.

Paramount Pictures has released a new poster for producer James Cameron and director Tim Miller’s Terminator: Dark Fate. It features Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton looking totally badass! It also asks you to “choose your fate.”

Miller also talked about the film in a recent interview with Total Film saying that he wanted to give the franchise a noble future with this film.

First, Miller commented on the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger's iconic T-800, saying:

“He looks different, and he is different. It’s an interesting way to portray him. He’s just so iconic, but it’s something we haven’t seen in any of the other films. I personally think that he looks the best since Terminator 2.”

The filmmaker went on to bash the previous three Terminator movies and says he wants to bring nobility back to the franchise:

The last movie was not good. Wait, I shouldn’t say that. There have been some… misfires. You don’t want it to go out that way as a fan. I wanted the franchise to have some kind of noble future again. I wanted to help with that because I love The Terminator so, so much.”

Linda Hamilton also shared what it was like for her to be back in costume as Sarah Connor on the first day of shooting:

“The first time back in costume was powerful. I walked out of the trailer and it knocked the breath out of everybody. When I saw the look on everyone else’s face, I was like, ‘Alright, I think I can do this!’”

Mackenzie Davis plays a human-machine hybrid character in the film who teams up with Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor to save a young woman played by Natalia Reyes who seems to be the key to the future. She is being hunted down by a crazy advanced new Terminator played by Gabriel Luna. Then at some point in the movie Arnold Schwarzenegger will factor in to the story to help out. It’s been said that his character in the film is going to be “very different” from what we already know about the character.

I’m super pumped for this movie. I would just love to see another awesome Terminator film. If it ends up being good I hope that it does well at the box office so we see the other two films in the planned trilogy get made.

Terminator: Dark Fate hits theaters on November 1st, 2019.
