Aaron Sorkin is the writer who brought us A Few Good Men, The West Wing, Moneyball, The Social Network and more. I've always enjoyed his storytelling style and now he's making his directorial debut with a film called Molly's Game, which is based on a true story that is set in the world of high stakes poker.
It looks like it's going to be a great film and it's got a crazy impressive cast that includes Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba, Chris O'Dowd, Kevin Costner, Michael Cera, and more.
There are a lot of great films that revolve around gambling and Molly's Game looks like it will make a great addition to those other movies. As you'll see in this new trailer, this looks like an intense film and according to the reviews, it's a must-watch film that's worth checking out. Here's the synopsis:
MOLLY’S GAME is based on the true story of Molly Bloom, an Olympic-class skier who ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons. Her players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans and finally, unbeknownst to her, the Russian mob. Her only ally was her criminal defense lawyer Charlie Jaffey, who learned that there was much more to Molly than the tabloids led us to believe.
Molly's Game is set to be released on November 22nd. Enjoy the trailer!
