New Trailer for ALIENATED Gives Off STRANGER THINGS and ET Vibes

BOOM! Studios recently revealed a trailer for their upcoming new series Alienated. This trailer gave me a mix of Stranger Things and ET vibes and I’m excited. Of course, it doesn’t feel like those two properties were simply thrown into a blender but rather used as influences and I love it. The series comes from writer Simon Spurrier and artist Chris Wildgoose, colorist André May, and letterer Jim Campbell. The main cover was made by Wildgoose with variants available from Bengal and Jamie McKelvie.

Three teenagers, each an outcast in their own way, stumble upon an unearthly entity as it’s born. As they bond over this shared secret and the creature’s incredible abilities, it becomes clear to the teenagers that their cute little pet is a predator in the making—and it’s in need of prey. Guided by the best intentions at first, the teens’ decisions soon become corrupted by adolescent desires, small town jealousies, and internal rivalries, sending them into a catastrophic spiral of their own making.

You can read Alienated #1 on February 12 with print copies being sold exclusively through local comic book shops.
