New Trailer for DC's STARGIRL Series - "This Is Our Destiny"

The CW has released a new trailer for its upcoming DC series Stargirl. The trailer offers us a bit of cool new footage and story details. This actually looks like it’ll be a pretty fun show!

The series stars Brec Bassinger (School of Rock) in the role of Courtney Whitmore, a.k.a. Stargirl, as she accepts her superhero destiny. Joel McHale also has a role in the series as Golden Age Starman/Sylvester Pemberton, and Luke Wilson is playing Pat Dugan — you’ll get to see his powered armor suit S.T.R.I.P.E. in the trailer!

Stargirl will follow the story of Courtney Whitmore (Bassinger) “who is a smart, athletic and above all else kind girl. This high school teenager’s seemingly perfect life hits a major speedbump when her mother gets married and her new family moves from Los Angeles, California to Blue Valley, Nebraska. Struggling to adapt to a new school, make new friends, and deal with a new step-family, Courtney discovers her step-father has a secret; he used to be the sidekick to a superhero. ‘Borrowing’ the long-lost hero’s cosmic staff, Courtney becomes the unlikely inspiration for an entirely new generation of superheroes.”

Bassinger is also joined by S.W.A.T.‘s Lou Ferrigno Jr. was cast as Golden Age Hourman, Brian Stapf as Ted Grant/Wildcat, Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, Henry Thomas as Charles McNider/Dr Mid-Nite, and Anjelika Washington in an undisclosed role.

Stargirl will premiere on The CW and DC Universe in Spring 2020.
