New Trailer for Disney's JUNGLE CRUISE - Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt Embark on a Dangerous Adventure
Disney has released a new trailer for their upcoming adventure film, which is based on the classic ride Jungle Cruise. In the story, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt team up to embark on a dangerous quest for a magical Amazon tree that heals all and can change the world.
Jungle Cruise looks like it’ll be a silly, yet fun Disney film filled with adventure as Johnson’s charismatic riverboat captain, Frank Wolff, and Blunt’s determined explorer, Dr. Lily Houghton, find themselves deep in the Amazon jungle on their expedition. I enjoy a good adventure film, and this one looks like it will deliver something entertaining.
Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities—possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.
The film was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Non-Stop, The Shallows), and it also stars Edgar Ramirez and Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.
The film will hit theaters on July 24th, 2020. I also included some amusing posters below.
