New Trailer For HBO Max Dramedy ROOSTER Starring Steve Carell, Charly Clive & Phil Dunster

HBO has released a great trailer for the upcoming dramedy series Rooster, starring Steve Carell, Charly Clive, Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley, Lauren Tsai, Connie Britton & Annie Mumolo.

The show is the latest created by Emmy-winner Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Ted lasso, Shrinking), with co-creator and Emmy nominee Matt Tarses (Scrubs, Bad Monkey). The pair wrote and directed the show’s first season.

“Set on a college campus, Rooster centers on an author’s (Carell) complicated relationship with his daughter (Charly Clive). The trailer goes more into detail, watching Carell, who students call Rooster based on his main character in his best-selling books, visit his daughter to try and help her with her relationship problems. Turns out her husband (Phil Dunster) has left her for a graduate student (Lauren Tsai).”

This looks funny and charming, like most things made by Lawrence, and starring Carell. Check out the trailer below, and watch Rooster when it premieres on HBO Max on March 8th.
