New Trailer for HBO's SUCCESSION - "This Is a Chessboard, and Every Move Is Crucial"

HBO has released another trailer for the highly anticipated fourth season of Succession. It gives us our best look yet at the next installment of the Roy family’s saga, and it starts off with Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook), and Roman (Kieran Culkin), who are seemingly not on speaking terms with their father, Logan (Brian Cox).

After Logan betrayed his kids during the Season 3 finale, the Roy siblings are coming together to plan their next steps in reclaiming their power in the company. "This is a chessboard, and every move is crucial."

In Season 4, “the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”

The series comes from Jesse Armstrong and the cast also includes Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun, J. Smith-Cameron, Peter Friedman, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Justine Lupe, Scott Nicholson, Zoë Winters, and Jeannie Berlin.

The series is executive produced by Armstrong, Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Jane Tranter, Mark Mylod, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, Jon Brown, Lucy Prebble, Will Tracy and Will Ferrell. Armstrong also serves as showrunner.

Succession Season 4 is set to premiere in Spring 2023.
