We’ve got a fun full trailer for you to enjoy from the upcoming HBO sci-fi comedy series, Avenue 5. The show is a space tourism comedy “set 40 years in the future when the solar system is everyone’s oyster. Hugh Laurie will star as the Captain, and with him in charge, nothing can go wrong.” But, of course, everything does go wrong.

The series was written by Veep creator, Armando Iannucci, who has also signed on to direct an episode, alongside Becky Martin (Peep Show, Veep) and Natalie Bailey (Hotel Trubble, How To Stay Married).

Here’s the synopsis:

Avenue 5 is a space tourism comedy set 40 years in the future when the solar system is everyone’s oyster. Hugh Laurie will star as the Captain, and with him in charge, nothing can go wrong.

Laurie is joined by Josh Gad as Herman Judd, the billionaire who is behind the Avenue 5. Everything he owns has pretty much been branded with his name. The rest of the cast includes Silicon Valley star Zach Woods; Nikki Amuka-Bird (The Personal History of David Copperfield); Rebecca Front (The Thick of It); Lenora Crichlow (Being Human); Suzy Nakamura (Veep); and Ethan Phillips (Veep).
