New Trailer for Hugh Grant's Mormon Missionary Horror Movie HERETIC
A24 has released a new trailer for the upcoming religious horror thriller Heretic. The movie stars Hugh Grant and in the trailer we see him preparing a terrifying experience for two Mormon Sister missionaries who are about to knock on his door.
The movie follows two Mormon sister missionaries “who attempt to convert a man that turns out to be far more dangerous than they could have anticipated.”
The official logline reads: “Two young missionaries are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed, becoming ensnared in his deadly game of cat-and-mouse.”
The movie also stars Chloe East (The Fabelmans) and Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets) and it’s a movie that I’m curious about seeing.
I like that Hollywood has finally made a horror movie about Mormon missionaries, and apparently Grant delivers a great and scary performance, which will be worth the price of admission.
The movie comes from A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who wrote the script and will direct the film.
A24 will release Heretic in theaters on November 15, 2024.
