New Trailer for James Gunn's Superhero Horror Film BRIGHTBURN - What If Superman Were Evil?
We’ve got a new trailer to share with you for the James Gunn-produced superhero horror film called Brightburn. What makes this film so interesting is that it’s clearly inspired by the story of Superman. Only in this story, after the alien child crash-lands on earth, he becomes a murderous evil villain instead of an inspiring hero.
It’s an interesting concept to explore, and it looks like director David Yarovesky did a solid job of executing it when bringing it to life. I really liked what I saw in this latest trailer. It’s filled with new footage from the movie, and there are some cool and cringe-worthy moments teased.
Here’s the synopsis for Brightburn:
What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? With Brightburn, the visionary filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy and Slither presents a startling, subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror.
Brightburn stars Elizabeth Banks, Meredith Hanger, David Denman, Matt Jones, Gregory Alan Williams, Jennifer Holland and more. The script for it was written by Brian and Mark Gunn.
Brightburn hits theaters on May 24th, 2019. What do you think about the concept for this movie?
