New Trailer For Johnny Depp's Incredible-Looking Mob Film BLACK MASS
We've got a new trailer for Johnny Depp's awesome-looking mob thriller, Black Mass, for you to watch today. Depp looks intense as hell in this, and it looks like he gives one of his best performances in years. He plays the treacherous, Irish, Boston-based mobster Whitey Bulger in the story. I love watching mob movies, and it seems like it's been awhile since we've seen a good one, so I welcome Black Mass with open arms.
The movie comes from director Scott Cooper (Out of the Furnace), and it has an impressive cast of co-stars that includes Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jesse Plemons, Kevin Bacon, Rory Cochrane, David Harbour, Dakota Johnson, Julianne Nicholson, James Russo, Adam Scott, Corey Stoll, Juno Temple, W. Earl Brown, Bill Camp, Brad Carter, and Jeremy Strong.
In 1970s South Boston, FBI Agent John Connolly (Joel Edgerton) persuades Irish mobster James “Whitey” Bulger (Johnny Depp) to collaborate with the FBI and eliminate a common enemy: the Italian mob. The drama tells the true story of this unholy alliance, which spiraled out of control, allowing Whitey to evade law enforcement, consolidate power, and become one of the most ruthless and powerful gangsters in Boston history.
Black Mass opens in theaters on September 18th.
