New Trailer For Kate Winslet's HBO Political Dark Comedy Satire Series THE REGIME
HBO has released a new trailer for its upcoming limited series drama The Regime. Kate Winslet stars in the political thriller/dark comedy satire series that tells the story of one year within the walls of the palace of a modern European regime as it begins to unravel. This looks like a great show!
This show centers on a “crumbling authoritarian regime.” Winslet plays “the Chancellor (a dictator) of a fictional Middle European autocracy, who faces domestic turmoil that threatens her hold on power.”
The cast also includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne, Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton, Hugh Grant, Danny Webb, David Bamber, Henry Goodman, Stanley Townsend, Louie Mynett, Rory Keenan, Karl Markovics and Pippa Haywood.
The series is directed by Stephen Frears (High Fidelity, The Queen) and Jessica Hobbs (The Crown, Broadchurch), and it was written by Will Tracy (The Menu), who is also the executive producer and showrunner.
The Regime is set to premiere on Max on March 3rd, 2024.
