New Trailer For MARVEL'S WOLVERINE Throws Logan Into a Savage Fight With Omega Red and Deathstrike
A new trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine puts Insomniac Games’ clawed mutant front and center, teasing savage battles with Omega Red and Deathstrike while revealing more of the global mutant conflict driving the upcoming PlayStation adventure.
Logan will also have some familiar allies at his side as Team X takes the fight across several corners of the Marvel universe.
The story picks up three years after Logan walked away from his life as Wolverine. His attempt to leave that world behind comes crashing down when his past catches up with him and he’s pulled back into Team X. With mutants facing a growing threat, Logan reluctantly returns to the fight.
The official synopsis reads, “Experience an original take on Marvel legend Wolverine as he joins forces with mutants across the globe in a fight for survival. Standing against forces like Bolivar Trask, Omega Red, Deathstrike, and more… Logan knows the world needs a hero; however, they’ll have to settle for Wolverine”
At the center of the conflict is Bolivar Trask, whose fanatical belief in human superiority puts him directly at odds with mutantkind. Trask isn’t Logan’s only problem. Team X will also have to contend with cybernetic militias, Omega Red, Deathstrike, and other enemies as the situation escalates.
The new footage gives fans a taste of that conflict with some seriously cool cinematic combat. Wolverine tears into his enemies with the kind of aggressive claw-based fighting you’d expect from an Insomniac Wolverine game, while his clashes with Omega Red and Deathstrike suggest Logan will have his hands full.
The fight also extends well beyond a single battlefield. Wolverine and his teammates will join forces with mutants around the world, traveling to Japan, Canada, and the Marvel island nation of Madripoor as they try to secure a future for mutantkind.
Marvel’s Wolverine will be available in two editions through the PlayStation Store. The Standard Edition includes the game, while the Deluxe Edition adds five executive suits and claws, four technique points, and four PlayStation avatars. Players can also get a classic brown suit and reflective claws as an early unlock.
PlayStation Direct is getting in on the action as well with a limited-edition Wolverine-themed console and controllers.
Marvel’s Wolverine and the limited-edition controllers are set to launch on PlayStation on September 15, 2026.
