New Trailer for Netflix's Wild Post-Apocalyptic Comedy Adventure Series DAYBREAK

I’ve got a great new trailer to share with you for a super fun new post-apocalyptic coming-of-age comedy adventure series called Daybreak. The series is based on the graphic novel by Brian Ralph and tells a story where teens are the only survivors in a Ghoulie infested post-apocalyptic world. It may look a little strange and weird, but it also looks like a blast!

Daybreak is described as “a genre-bending series and subversive dark comedy” and the story “finds 17-year-old high school outcast Josh searching for his missing girlfriend Sam in post-apocalyptic Glendale, California. Joined by a ragtag group of misfits including a pyromaniac 12 year old Angelica and Josh’s former high school bully Wesley, now turned pacifist samurai, Josh tries to stay alive amongst the horde of Mad Max-style gangs (evil jocks, cheerleaders turned Amazon warriors), zombie-like creatures called Ghoulies, and everything else this brave new world throws at him.”

The series stars Colin Ford (We Bought a Zoo) as Josh Wheeler and Matthew Broderick as Principal Burr. As you might expect, the series will feature references to Broderick’s classic ‘80s movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The series also stars Alyvia Alyn Lind as Angelica, Sophie Simnett as Sam Dean, Gregory Kasyan as Eli Cardashyan, Krysta Rodriguez as Ms. Crumble, Jeanté Godlock as Mona Lisa and Cody Kearsley as Turbo Bro Jock.

The 10 episode series will be released on October 24th. Enjoy the trailer!

So what's life like in the apocalypse? It's never what you'd expect. Find your tribe, grab your swords, and get ready to take on some Ghoulies. Daybreak comes to Netflix on October 24.
