New Trailer For Pedro Almodóvar's Drama THE ROOM NEXT DOOR Starring Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore

A new trailer has been released for director Pedro Almodóvar's drama, The Room Next Door, starring Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore.

The screenplay is also written by Almodóvar, adapted from the novel titled What Are You Going Through by Sigrid Nunez. The film also stars Alessandro Nivola, John Turturro, Alex Høgh Andersen, Melina Matthews, Juan Diego Botto, Victoria Luengo, and Esther McGregor.

The synopsis reads: “Ingrid (Julianne Moore) and Martha (Tilda Swinton) were close friends in their youth, when they worked together at the same magazine.

‘Ingrid went on to become an autofiction novelist while Martha became a war reporter, and they were separated by the circumstances of life. After years of being out of touch, they meet again in an extreme but strangely sweet situation.”

This looks like a heavy drama, but with the talent involved, it seems like a great watch. It premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival and won the Golden Lion award.

Check out the trailer below, and watch The Room Next Door when it’s released in Spain in October, and in the US on December 20th, 2024.
