New Trailer for Pixar's Fantasy Adventure Comedy ONWARD with Chris Pratt and Tom Holland
Disney has shared another great trailer for Pixar’s upcoming fantasy adventure comedy Onward. The trailer is loaded with new footage and also offers a better look at the story that the movie will tell.
The story is set in a suburban fantasy world, and it introduces two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left in the world. The adventure they set out on involves finding a stone to complete a spell that they started that will allow them to bring their dad back, who passed away, so that they can see him one more time. As you’ll see in the trailer, the first time they attempt the spell they only manage to bring the bottom half of their dad back, just the legs. He ends up going on the journey in disguise with his sons who have 24 hours to finish the spell to bring the rest of him back.
I’m excited to see this new Pixar film. It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, and it features a great voice cast that includes Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer.
The film comes from director Dan Scanlon (Monsters University), and when previously talking about the film, he explained that the story was inspired by his own relationship with his brother. He went on to say:
“In the film, we’re going to tell the story of two teenage elf brothers whose father died when they were too young to remember him. But thanks to the little magic still left in the world, the boys embark on a quest that will allow them a chance to spend one last magical day with their father.”
Onward will arrive in theaters on March 6th, 2020.
