New Trailer for Roland Emmerich's MOONFALL Features the Moon Destroying Earth
We’ve got a new trailer for director Roland Emmerich‘s latest Earth-destruction thriller, Moonfall. In this movie, the destruction of Earth is caused by the moon and a monstrous black entity that escapes from inside the moon. Apparently, these are things that the government has been hiding, and now the fate of the world relies on a ragtag crew of astronauts who blast off into space to confront the moon monster and attempt to stop the moon from colliding with Earth.
This movie looks so ridiculously silly, but there’s an audience out there that will flock to theaters to watch it. I just have no interest in Emimerich’s films as he can only really make one kind of film, and those films just bore me now. But, if you still like ‘em, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this one!
This latest trailer features lots more footage of the moon causing massive destruction to the Earth. It also features footage of Patrick Wilson, Halle Berry, and John Bradley in the heat of action on their mission to space and the center of the Moon.
In Moonfall, we see the moon on a crash course with Earth. It’s explained that "a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it." In the story, "with mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all – but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Wilson), and a conspiracy theorist, K.C. Houseman (Bradley), believes her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our moon is not what we think it is. "
The movie set to hit theaters on February 4th, 2022.
