New Trailer For STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Season 3 - "Far From Home, Their Fight Begins"
CBS All Access has released a new full trailer Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 and it gives us an awesome and exciting look at what’s in store for us!
The trailer launched the start of Star Trek Day, which is the fan event commemorating the 54th anniversary of the debut of the original Star Trek TV series on September 8, 1966.
After making the jump in the second season finale, season three of "Star Trek: Discovery" finds the U.S.S. Discovery crew dropping out of the wormhole and into an unknown future far from the home they once knew. Now living in a time filled with uncertainty, the U.S.S. Discovery crew, along with the help of some new friends, must together fight to regain a hopeful future.
What makes this next season so interesting is the fact that 930 years into the future in the year 3188. It’s in this future that Commander Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) learns the Federation has collapsed due to something referred to as “the burn,” when “the galaxy took a hard left.”
Kurtzman previously explained that the burn is a “cataclysmic” event that hits the Federation when it’s at its strongest. The first episodes of the new season will unfold this a mystery, as Burnham and the rest of the Discovery crew try to figure out what happened to the Federation.
The new season will debut on CBS All Access on October 15th.
