New Trailer for the Killer Fifth and Final Season of YOU
Hello, You. Netflix has released a new trailer for the he fifth and final season of psychological thriller series You. It sees the return of Penn Badgley‘s Joe Goldberg, a hopeless romantic who stalks and kills the women he claims to love, as well as anyone who gets in his way.
Joe’s search for The One began in New York. He then ended up in Los Angeles in Season 2. After that he found himself in suburbs of San Francisco in Season 3, and then Season 4 saw him in London.
The official synopsis for Season 5 reads: “In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.”
The next season picked up three years later and Joe hasn’t killed anyone since we last saw him. Instead, he’s been focused on raising Henry, the son he had with his ex-wife, Love, and helping Kate steer the Lockwood Corporation in a more charitable direction.
Joe never dreamed he would be part of New York’s elite, and he’s doing everything in his power to protect what he has.
Season 5 sees the the return of Charlotte Ritchie returns as Joe’s wife, with Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp, and Griffin Matthews joining the main cat.
The series is based on the novels by Caroline Kepnes, the show debuted in 2018 from developers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash) and Sera Gamble (The Magicians, Supernatural).
The final 10 episodes hit Netflix on April 24.
