New Trailer For The Seductive and Provocative Thriller THE BETA TEST
IFC Films has released a new trailer for its upcoming seductive and provocative thriller, The Beta Test, from filmmaker Jim Cummings (Thunder Road, The Wolf of Snow Hollow). The story follows a married Hollywood agent who receives a mysterious letter to participate in an anonymous sexual encounter and becomes ensnared in a sinister world of lying, murder and infidelity in this scintillating satire.
Cummings co-wrote and co-directed the film with PJ McVabe and they also both star in the film. The movie also stars Virginia Newcomb, Kevin Changaris, Olivia Grace Applegate, Jessie Barr, Malin Barr, and Christian Hillborg.
This looks like an interesting movie that provides commentary on the world of Hollywood agents and how sexual provocation can be disruptive in peoples lives and tear them apart. Here’s the synopsis:
Shortly before his wedding, ruthless talent agent Jordan (Jim Cummings) receives a mysterious envelope offering no-strings-attached sex with a stranger in a hotel room. Initially amused, then intrigued, he becomes obsessed by the idea of a secret erotic adventure and impulsively accepts. But will he regret his choices when his meticulous, superficial world threatens to collapse under the weight of his burgeoning lies?
IFC Films will release The Beta Test in select US theaters and on VOD on November 5th, 2021.
