New Trailer For THE WITCHER Season 2 Focuses on the Relationship of Geralt and Yennifer
We’ve got a new trailer to share with you for Netflix’s The Witcher Season 2, and it puts the focus on the relationship between Geralt and Yennefer, and the consequences of the one wish that altered both their fates.
Season 2 will follow Geralt of Rivia, “convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, who seeks to bring Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”
When previously talking about Season 2, showrunner Lauren Hissrich said, "In season two, we throw all of those connections at him. To me, the most exciting thing is seeing this solitary guy learn to become a father. Seeing what he thought he would be good at, and what he thought would be easy, and how that’s challenged… For Geralt, it’s about finding surprising levels of warmth and empathy that I think all of us know were there."
The show also stars Henry Cavill as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Jodhi May as Calanthe, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia, Mimi Ndiweni as Fringilla, Therica Wilson-Read as Sabrina, Emma Appleton as Renfri, Eamon Farren as Cahir, Joey Batey as Jaskier, Lars Mikkelsen as Stregobor, Royce Pierreson as Istredd, Maciej Musiał as Sir Lazlo, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte as Dara), and Anna Shaffer as Triss.
The Witcher Season 2 will premiere on December 17th, 2021.
