New TV Spot For DC's BIRDS OF PREY - "Gotham's Worst Brings Out Their Best"
Warner Bros. has released a TV spot for DC’s Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), and it offers up a good amount of new footage. We learn in the trailer that Ewan McGregor‘s villainous Black Mask has bought himself an army to threaten Gotham, which he claims to own. So, the girl gang teams up to take him down!
That girls gang consists of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez). Here’s the synopsis for the movie:
Since the events of Suicide Squad, Batman has disappeared, leaving Gotham City unprotected from crime, and Harley Quinn has left the Joker. When Cassandra Cain, a young girl, comes across a diamond belonging to crime lord Black Mask, Harley joins forces with Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to help protect her.
I’ve got low expectations for this movie and I’m not expecting much. But, it would be a nice surprise if the movie ends up being better than I think it’ll be.
The movie was directed by Cathy Yan and it also stars Chris Messina as the serial killer, Victor Zsasz. The movie will be released in theaters on February 7th, 2020.
