New TV Spot For THE BATMAN - "Like It or Not It's Riddler's Game Now"
Here’s another TV spot for The Batman for you to watch and it offers up a bit of new footage from the highly anticipated film. All the footage that we’ve seen from this film seems to highlight the gritty, noir aspect of it, which I’m loving.
Director Matt Reeves previously explained that the tone of the movie was very much inspired by David Fincher’s Se7en and you can definitely see that influence in the footage of the film. I’ve always thought that the Riddler would make for an evil and dark villain and this movie is finally going to give us that.
This trailer is titled “Riddler’s Game” and it focuses on the looming threat of The Ridder as Batman is trying to put all the pieces together to figure out what is going on. The film leans into Batman as a detective, and it’ll be fun and interesting to see him utilize those skills.
Check out the TV spot and let us know what you think!
Here’s the synopsis for the film:
Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city's corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.
When a killer targets Gotham's elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World's Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator's plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.
The Batman is set to hit theaters on March 4, 2022.
