New Update For HAVEN Lets You Play As Same Sex Couples

A new free update for Haven has been released that will give players more options for how Yu and Kay look. This exciting new update will let you choose to play as the original couple, or as two women or as two men. Featuring new character designs and voice actors, the updated characters look just as good as the original. This update was very special for the team at The Game Bakers, as Emeric Thoa, Creative Director, explains:

Haven is about the freedom to love whomever you want. From the very early days of conception, we had created several couples for the game, with a diverse range of relationships. But the constraints of our indie team production made us focus on Yu and Kay only. After the game launch, we wanted to go back and work on this update. We hope that many players will feel better represented in the game.

It’s great how well this as a concept in general works for this game. It’s about a pair of lovers who have to fight to stay together and a relationship like that isn’t defined by gender. I’m impressed at the amount of work they went through, with over 80,000 lines of dialogue and creating new character models. 

The free update is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG.com), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. To celebrate the update launch, Haven is 40% off.
