The last month or two have been a little light in the quantity of games, but April makes up for it. There are SO many games coming out. While this list is a bit longer than usual, it still is missing several cool upcoming games of this month. But here is the list we narrowed down of top games to watch out for.

Outriders - April 1st

PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X PC

Here it comes, one of the most anticipated games of the year, Outriders. With its long beta and loads of videos from the developers, we already have a great look at what to expect from the game. It boasts a semi-open world, deep character development, and fairly fun action-shooter gameplay, it is safe to say there is a lot to be excited about in this game.

Lost Words: Beyond The Page - April 6th

Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PC

Here comes one of the more unique games of the month. Lost Words: Beyond The Page narrative driven game that takes players into a very important moment of a young girl’s life. It is filled with some light puzzling, amazing voice acting and great pacing.

Oddworld: Soulstorm - April 6th

PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PC

We are returning to the Oddworld franchise after seven years. It isn’t a remake of Abe’s Exoddus, but shares a lot of elements and is called a re-imaging of it. Between a slew of powers, smart AI that interacts in numerous ways and some finely fixed visuals, there is a lot to look forward to in this game.

Star Wars: Republic Commando - April 6th

Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4

It is back! I played this game years ago and there is something about the shooting, the team play and more that make this game special. It may not be a full remaster, but at least we get to revisit the game with some minor updates, better something than nothing at all!

Poison Control - April 13th

Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4

Get ready for an action RPG with lots of color and lots of anime tropes. The game has some brawler action gameplay with shooter elements. Also expect a bit of romancing and some fun, anime humor.

Godstrike - April 15th

PC

While every month may give us many great indie games, Godstrike looks to be one of the best. Between some seriously slick gameplay, intense boss battle and some cool graphics, this game could be one of the best this month.

Returnal - April 30th

PlayStation 5

At first, this game looked like a psychological thriller that put players in this weird world nightmare-fuel over and over. But with newer trailers, this game looks to be a fantastic shooter with more even horror elements. I’m not sure what this game is exactly, but I sure do want to play it.

New Pokémon Snap - April 30th

Nintendo Switch

Pictures and little pocket monsters are back! We are returning to the world of Pokémon with our cameras and on the prowl for rare Pokémon.  With lots of Pokémon, some slick new graphics and plenty of places to take pictures, there will be lots to do in this new game.
