New WESTWORLD Season 4 Trailer - "We're Not Here to Transcend, We're Here to Destroy"
HBO has released a new trailer for Westworld Season 4, and it offers our best look yet at the madness that is coming. The world is in distress, and the characters are all going through some seriously insane experiences in this new era they’re living in.
The upcoming season is described as “a dark odyssey about the fate of sentient life on earth.” The show is a dystopian sci-fi drama, based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 film of the same name. It’s about “the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth. It centers around a technologically-advanced amusement park, where human-like android hosts are programmed to fulfill each high-paying guests’ wants and desires.”
Season 4 will consist of eight episodes, and the cast for the series includes Evan Rachel Wood will be back, along with Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth and Aaron Paul.
When previously talking about the next chapter of the Westworld story, co-creator Lisa Joy said, “you’re going to see some new worlds that I think are really fun and you’re going to see someone who I kidnapped from Reminiscence in a funny way.” She was also asked for one word to describe the new season, and that word was “inversion.”
The series is set to return on June 26th, and fans are excited to see how the story continues to play out
