New X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Images and Bryan Singer Discusses Apocalypse's Look

When we got our first look at Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse in this upcoming X-Men film, fans weren't too thrilled. Many fans don't think the character design really looks like the Apocalypse we've come to know in the comics, but director Bryan Singer doesn't share your opinion. While talking to Empire, he said that it's "very similar" to the comic book look:

“He'll be very similar to images in the comic. There's obviously something very futuristic and yet ancient to the design of both his costume and his physicality.”

This interview most likely took place before Apocalypse was revealed, but I have to disagree with him. Apocalypse looks nothing like the character from the comic. Unfortunately, he looks more like Ivan Ooze from 1995′s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie.

We also have four new photos from the film to share with you featuring Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Sophie Turner as Jean, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Lucas Till as Havok, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and Nicholas Hoult as Beast.

X-Men: Apocalypse will hit theaters on May 27th, 2016.
