New YU-GI-OH! Manga Series Appears to Be More About the Meta

A new Yu-Gi-Oh! manga was recently launched called Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Structures. This new manga comes from Masashi Sato (who worked on the art for the 5Ds manga) and launched with the August issue of V Jump magazine in Japan which apparently launched at the end of last week. I do not understand how an August issue launches in June, but that’s apparently the story. I cannot find an official synopsis for the story of the new manga, but it supposedly has to do with the real-world Official Card Game or OCG meaning I think it will only feature real cards and the real rules and not some manga version of the rules. Of course, I could be wrong.

I did some additional digging to see what I could dig up and I cam across a Reddit post where people were discussing the first chapter and it looks like OCG Structures is going to be the Gundam Build Divers of Yu-Gi-Oh! meaning that it dives more into the meta of the game such as constructing decks and forming strategies versus using your cards to save the world.

I’m very intrigued by this approach and am interested in checking it out. Hopefully, we can get an official English translation in the not too distant future. Would you be interested in reading this new Yu-Gi-Oh! manga?
