New ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP TV Spot Introduces Columbus to Madison
We’ve got a new TV spot for Zombieland: Double Tap for you to check out that shows Columbus, played by the returning Jesse Eisenberg, meeting up with newcomer Madison, played by Zoey Deutch. Columbus shoots at her while they are both in an abandoned candle store at which point she puts her hands up and yells, “Please forgive me! It’s fake fur!,” as she points to the fur lining on her pink hooded coat. She looks straight out of the early 2000s, closer to when the first movie happened and their zombie apocalypse took place. She looks cute and well taken care of, like the last ten years haven’t phased her a bit!
At the end of the clip, Woody Harrelson’s character, Tallahassee, tells Columbus that zombies eat brains, and Madison is still alive because she doesn’t have any! I think she will be a funny element to the sequel, and I can’t wait to see it.
A decade after Zombieland became a hit film and a cult classic, the lead cast (Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone) have reunited with director Ruben Fleischer (Venom) and the original writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool) for Zombieland 2: Double Tap. In the sequel, written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and Dave Callaham, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, these four slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.
Other new additions to the cast include Rosario Dawson, Avan Jogia, Luke Wilson, and Thomas Middleditch. Watch the clip below, and see Zombieland: Double Tap in theaters on Thursday, October 17th.
