Nicolas Cage Will Track Down His Kidnapped Pig in a New Film Called PIG
Nicolas Cage has signed on to star in another interesting movie called Pig. Cage is also producing the film in which he plays “a truffle hunter living alone in the wilderness in Oregon. When his beloved foraging pig is kidnapped, he must journey into Portland – and his long-abandoned past – to recover her.”
I don’t even know what to say about that, except that it’s the kind of film project we should expect Cage to want to be a part of! The film will also star Alex Wolff (Hereditary) and it will be directed by Michael Sarnoski from a script he wrote. The director had this to say in a statement:
“What began as a very personal project has transformed into a labor of love for so many talented people. I’m thrilled for us all to be bringing this strange world to life.”
Pulse Films chief Thomas Benski added:
“Michael’s vision for ‘Pig’ is a true testament of his unique voice as a writer-director, and one that we can’t wait to introduce to audiences across the world. Having such an incredible cast attached, led by Nicolas Cage and supported by Alex Wolff, speaks directly to the special nature of the story Michael and Vanessa have devised.”
I have no idea what to expect from this. I don’t know if it will be a comedy or a drama. Maybe it’ll be a mixture of both. But, it will feature Cage embarking on a journey to rescue his kidnapped pig, and I have to watch it!
