Nicholas Hoult Set to Star in Searchlight Dark Comedy THE MENU Opposite Anya Taylor-Joy
Nicholas Hoult (Warm Bodies, X-Men films, The Great) has joined the cast of Searchlight Pictures’ upcoming dark comedy The Menu. He will star opposite Anya Taylor-Joy (Split, Emma., The Queen’s Gambit), Ralph Fiennes (Schindler’s List, the Harry Potter films, Spectre), and Hong Chau (Watchmen, Homecoming).
Here’s the film’s synopsis:
The film is a darkly comedic psychological thriller set in the world of eccentric culinary culture, centering on a young couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island where an acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu.
Mark Mylod, who has played a major part in the success of HBO’s Succession, is set to direct from a script written by Will Tracy and Seth Reiss. Adam McKay will produce through his Hyperobject Industries banner along with Betsy Koch.
I’m a huge fan of Hoult and the rest of this cast so far. This sounds like a strange and alluring story, and I am interested in checking it out. Hoult will next be seen in Season 2 of Tony McNamara’s Golden Globe- and Screen Actors Guild-nominated comedy series, The Great, for which he also will serve as an executive producer.
