Nick Frost and Simon Pegg Are Developing a Paranormal Investigation Comedy Series
Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are headed back to television. The two big-time actors, who first got their start on the Channel 4 comedy series Spaced, are now developing a horror-comedy series about a team of paranormal investigators according to Variety.
The series, which is titled Truth Seekers, will have each half-hour episode center on a paranormal incident and the three paranormal investigators looking into it. The series will have clear "Monster of the Week," potential apparently, and will ramp up in intensity as the series develops. Here's what Simon Pegg said about it:
"It’ll start as a very parochial idea, a very small business venture for these people, but it will expand as the series goes on to be something far more global. It’s a language everyone understands, the mystery of the unknown. ‘Shaun of the Dead’ was a very parochial story set in North London and somehow it managed to get this global reach because everyone understands the language of zombie movies."
Pegg and Frost didn't indicate whether they'll be a part of the three-man team, but they are producing the series for television. Regardless of whether or not they'll be starring, I'm excited to see where this series heads! Are you excited?
