Nick Offerman to Star in Music-Themed feature film HEARTS BEAT LOUD

Nick Offerman (Parks and Rec) has landed his first leading role in a  feature film in Brett Haley's upcoming musical Hearts Beat Loud. He joins a cast that includes Ted Danson, Sasha Lane, Blythe Danner and Toni Collette.

Hearts Beat Loud is written by Haley and Marc Basch, and is about a father (Offerman) and daughter who form an unlikely songwriting duo in the last summer before she leaves for college. Offerman will sing in the film.

"I wrote the film with Nick Offerman in mind after my experience working with him on The Hero. He is one of my favorite actors, and I'm very excited to be putting him at the center of this film."

The film will shoot in New York City in August. No release date has been announced.

Offerman is best known for his role as Ron Swanson on the NBC comedy Parks & Recreation
