Nick Offerman's New Film HEARTS BEAT LOUD Gets Summer Release Date

Variety reports that SXSW and Sundance audience favorite Hearts Beat Loud will get a limited release this summer so that the rest of us have a chance to see it. After its premiere at Sundance, the global content studio Gunpowder & Sky picked it up. Hearts Beat Loud will hit limited theaters on June 8 before expanding int eh following weeks. Nick Offerman and Kiersey Clemons star in the dramedy and Brett Haley directed it. Here’s a synopsis of the film:

“Hearts Beat Loud centers on Offerman, a widower who presides over a failing record store in Brooklyn. After writing a poppy song with his daughter (Clemons), he experiences a flush of digital era popularity when his music is embraced by the Spotify community. Much of the film centers on his daughter’s struggle to decide between remaining behind to contribute to her father’s newfound success or to leave the nest and get an education.”

I really enjoy Offerman and this film looks good. I hope that it comes to a theater near me.
