Nicolas Cage is a Vigilante in New Trailer and Poster For VENGEANCE: A LOVE STORY

Nicolas Cage stars in a new revenge thriller called Vengeance: A Love Story, which is based on 2003 novel Rape: A Love Story, by author Joyce Carol Oates. Today we get a look at the new trailer and poster for the film.

Here is the synopsis:

On the Fourth of July, single mother Teena is brutally assaulted by a local gang in front of her 12-year-old daughter Bethie. Even though Bethie is able to identify the attackers, the defense hires a local hot-shot defense attorney who manipulates the law to their advantage. When the criminals are set free, Gulf War veteran and detective John Dromoor (Nicolas Cage) is dismayed by the lack of justice and plots revenge against the men on Teena’s behalf.

This movie, in many ways, feels very similar to the Bruce Willis starring Death Wish. A man seeking justice on his own terms after the justice system fails him.

At one point Cage was set to direct this film, which probably would have made it a little more interesting, but now Johnny Martin is helming, Martin is a stuntman-turned-director.

Don Johnson (Django Unchained) and Anna Hutchinson (The Cabin in the Woods) co-star. Vengeance: A Love Story hits theaters on September 15, 2017.
