Nicolas Cage Set To Host a New Netflix Series HISTORY OF SWEAR WORDS
Nicolas Cage is set to host a new series at Netflix titled History of Swear Words. As the title of the series suggests, the show is about all the expletives that people enjoy saying.
The series will consist of six-episodes and it “will dive into the origins, pop culture usage, science and cultural impact of swear words, such as ‘fuck,’ ‘shit,’ ‘bitch,’ ‘dick,’ ‘pussy’ and ‘damn.’ In each 20-minute episode, Cage will conduct interviews with historians, entertainers and experts in etymology and pop culture.”
Some of the guest stars that the series will feature include comedians like Joel Kim Booster, DeRay Davis, Open Mike Eagle, Nikki Glaser, Patti Harrison, London Hughes, Jim Jefferies, Zainab Johnson, Nick Offerman, Sarah Silverman, Baron Vaughn, and Isiah Whitlock Jr..
This seems like it’ll be a fun and interesting show to watch, especially if you don’t know the history behind those swear words. It’s being produced by Funny or Die and B17 Entertainment, and Bellamie Blackstone serves as the showrunner and an executive producer.
The History of Swear Words will premiere on Netflix on January 5th.
