Nicolas Cage Will Play a Big Game Hunter in a New Action Film Called PRIMAL
It seems that Nicolas Cage is doing more movies than ever, and that is saying a lot, as the man has an already extensive resume. Now he will star as a big-game hunter in an independent action movie Primal. The movie was announced at the Toronto Film Festival and production is scheduled to start on October 23 in Puerto Rico.
Primal will be directed by Nick Powell, who is a veteran stunt coordinator that worked on The Bourne Identity, X-Men: The Last Stand, and Resident Evil. The script is written by Richard Leder, and it centers on a hunter for zoos who has booked passage on a Greek shipping freighter with a fresh haul of exotic and deadly animals from the Amazon. A political assassin who is being extradited to the U.S in secret also happens to be on the boat. Things get interesting on their voyage when the assassin escapes and releases the captive animals, throwing the ship into chaos.
The movie sounds like a pretty interesting concept, but it also sounds like B-Movie material. But I'm sure we will have a better idea what the movie will be like once we get a trailer.
