Nicole Kidman Reveals HBO Series BIG LITTLE LIES Is Returning for a Third Season
Nicole Kidman appeared as a panel speaker this week at a Ladies Professional Golf Association Q&A event during the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida, where she was asked what her favorite role had been in her career. She mentioned how much she loved starring in Moulin Rouge!, then added her two-season role in the HBO limited series, Big Little Lies. She said it was "because it sort of came along at a time in my life when I had my children and I was thinking I was going to retire. And then this situation came along, where Reese Witherspoon and I were able to produce that show and create that show. And then all of you watched it and made it a massive success."
The crowd responded to the mention of the series, then Kidman dropped a major revelation: "And we will be bringing you a third one, just FYI."
Fans have been asking for a third season of the star-studded drama, which features Kidman, Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz and Shailene Woodley as Monterey, California mothers with friendships as deep as their secrets.
This is such an excellent series! The first season was based on the book by Liane Moriarty, and the second season brought on the author to help further the story, introducing Meryl Streep into the show as well. I can’t wait to see where it goes in the third season.
