Nicole Kidman Rumored to Be Up For Villainous Role in Marvel's SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY
Actress Nicole Kidman is no stranger to the comic book genre of film, as she played Aquaman’s mom, Atlanna, in the Jason Momoa-led DC films.
However, Kidman has not made her MCU debut, and that may be about to change. According to a new rumor from industry insider MTTSH, Kidman is being eyed to play the female villain in the upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
It was previously reported Marvel was casting for a “dark, mysterious female character” with a Japanese-inspired look. This doesn’t sound like Kidman, but getting such a talented actress would be a win, so the look could probably be adjusted.
This is just a rumor for now, so we will just have to wait and see if it pans out. It’s also a rumor that Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk could also have a co-starring role in the film.
The film is set to star returning cast members Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Zendaya as MJ, and Jacob Batalon as Ned, along with newcomers Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear).
Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31, 2026.
