Nicole Kidman Wants To Make a Hardcore Horror Film

Nicole Kidman has had an epic career as an actress and has been a part of so many different film genres and now she wants to get in on some hardcore horror.

During a recent interview with L'Officiel, Kidman praised the recent indie horror hit Talk to Me, and then she talked about wanting to do horror.

She said: "I've not done classic horror yet. Hardcore horror. I'm putting it out there because I watch hardcore horror. I'm a fan of Ti West!"

I do have to point out that Kidman has done classic horror, as she starred in the incredible haunted house ghost story The Others. I wonder if she forgot that she made that movie!

The Others is such a great horror movie, and Kidman delivered an awesome performance in it. Now, maybe she is looking to do more of a splatter fest-type flick?

The Others was directed by Alejandro Amenábar and the story is set in a remote mansion on the British Channel Island of Jersey just after World War II, the story follows Grace Stewart a devoutly religious mother who lives in isolation with her two young children, Anne and Nicholas.

The children suffer from a rare condition that makes them extremely sensitive to light, so the house is kept in perpetual darkness. As Grace hires new servants for the house, strange occurrences begin to unsettle the family.

The children claim to see and communicate with "others" in the house, leading Grace to believe that their home is haunted. As she investigates these mysterious events, Grace discovers disturbing truths about her family and the mansion they inhabit.

I was a big fan of the film's suspenseful atmosphere and its dark, gothic setting and the gradual revelation of secrets that challenge the characters' understanding of reality.

As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that the true nature of the haunting is far more complex and tragic than initially perceived. The narrative takes a significant twist in its final moments, and I loved that twist ending!

It’d be cool to see Kidman jump back into horror again!
